KnK Ranch things to know for purchasing a rabbit
KNK Ranch is working to strive to make good quality Lionhead rabbits. We sell our bunnies cash/ or paypal only. If for some reason in the first 2 weeks the rabbit has a health issue, please contact us. We will replace your rabbit if they should have any undisclosed health issues developed due to genetics or our rabbitry. If they develop an illness due to an unclean cage or a cage that you have that housed a sick rabbit, we cannot replace if it was error on your side. Our business was developed to help our kids with a project they can handle and enjoy at the Ranch. Our children take exceptional pride in the hard work of caring for their rabbits. They raise each one with love and kindness. We do not profit from selling rabbits, all the money goes right back into bettering our rabbitry.
We love each and every one of our bunnies. We have put a lot of time and money into each one. Rabbits that are spayed or neutered can live for 8-10 years. This is a long time pet commitment! Unspayed females tend to live only 5-7 years. Unspayed males can spray urine at you when going through puberty. All baby bunnies will go through a pubescent stage around 4-6 months of age where they will be more aggressive scratching or biting. This is normal puberty adjustment to hormones for the bunnies. During this time, be considerate and understanding when handling them and be considerate of their space as they go through their hormonal changes. They will change out of this usually by 8 months of age and return to the loving bunny you purchased. If for some reason, you should decide you no longer want to care for your bunny, we will take them back to care or rehome them. We do not want our bunnies going to any animal shelters or humane societies. We take care to make sure they go to good homes and want them to live happy, healthy lives. We will not refund your money once you have purchased the rabbit, but we will take over the care and expense to make sure they have a good home.
Before you decide to inquire know this, do your research first please, we are busy. We don't have the time to educate every single person that inquires on our babies.

- We do screen homes! We reserve the right to deny any sales if we deem you not suitable for our babies.
- We do not raise a lot. We are not a typical rabbitry. Our rabbits are our personal pets and show bunnies. Most are Grand Champions. We do not spay or neuter our rabbits. If you decide to go that route, we are not responsible for it in any way.
- If your child is allergic to cats or other animals, they will most likely be allergic to rabbits. Do not ask for one until you know this. Otherwise it is not fair to your child or to the beautiful little being to be dumped post finding this out. It causes heartbreak to your kids and then the poor rabbit gets dumped. Ours will only be sold in the case it does not work out due to you not researching, they need to be returned to us- no refunds. We do not want them subject to going to a Humane Society or foster place where they will get sick from them not feeding them properly and not cleaning correctly. We want them safe and loved.
- Urine smells and needs to be cleaned regularly. Rabbits, depending on age and each personal little being, vary on the time to litter train to thier new environment. They are hairy little guys and thier pellets can get stuck on thier bottoms and be drug to areas. Males potty train quicker. If they wiggle a lot when you are holding them, put them down in thier litter, they may need to pee. There are lots of good ideas on potty training out there on google. Do your research first.
- Rabbits should never be left to run the house unattended. Also, they are very light framed so kids should always be supervised so they do not accidently break thier backs or legs. Rabbits when scared can scratch or bite. It is thier only defense if they are being hurt by a child not handling them correctly. They can get overstressed and die from mishandling, from exposing them to other pets that are not trained properly to be around the rabbits. These little guys are sensitive and need time to adjust.
